Why choose a home physiotherapy service?

Enjoy the convenience of having your physiotherapist come to you. There are many reasons why at home physiotherapy treatment might be more suitable for you. Whether you have a busy lifestyle that makes it difficult to visit a clinic due to work, family, or other commitments, or you're housebound either temporarily due to injury or long term, Cambridge Villages Physiotherapy is here to help. If you simply prefer not to travel, I can come to you, making physiotherapy more accessible and tailored to your needs.

What to expect in your physiotherapy Session

I will travel to you and bring a portable physiotherapy couch, along with any additional equipment needed for a thorough assessment.

During your first session, I’ll ask you to explain your condition and your goals for physiotherapy. I will also gather information about your medical history to ensure that any advice or management strategies I recommend are safe. I will assess your problem in detail before sharing my thoughts and diagnosis with you, and together we will discuss how we can work towards managing your condition. I will provide initial advice that may include education on your condition, tailored exercise programmes, gait re-education, mobility aid recommendations, tips for improving activities of daily living, and consideration of manual therapy or taping.

If, at the end of our session, I feel physiotherapy is not suitable for you, I will let you know and will be happy to write a letter to your GP.

For some conditions, a single appointment may be enough. For others, follow-up sessions may be necessary. During follow-up visits, we will re-evaluate any changes since the previous session. Based on this, I may adjust your recommendations, which could include updating your exercises or considering hands-on therapy or taping.
